Welcome to Hitchhikers!

Hitchhikers is the product-focused learning hub for Yext users. Together with the Yext Help Center you’ll find resources for every stage of your journey with Yext.

In this track, you’ll learn about what Hitchhikers has to offer and how to utilize all the learning resources available to start your Yext journey.

Help Center

The Yext Help Center is the knowledge base for tasks and step-by-step content. Help articles are great for quick answers to questions like applying an entity template or adding facets to a search vertical .

Learning Tracks

Tracks on Hitchhikers are designed to cover an entire Yext product area. They’re a great place to go in-depth on a broad area of Yext. For example, you can complete tracks on the Content and Search products, as well as topics like Technical Skills or Solution Templates that span across product areas.

Tracks are broken down into modules and units, and are also grouped together in curriculums.

Modules

Tracks are made up of modules. Modules can be taken individually or as part of a track, and they’re best for focusing on a particular feature or skill.

Units

Each module is split into units for easily digestible lessons on more specific topics.

Quizzes, Assessments, and Challenges

At the end of each unit, module, and track, you’ll find an assessment to check your progress and test what you’ve learned.

Each unit will have a quiz. At the end of each module and track, there will be an assessment. This can take the form of a longer quiz, or it can be an in-depth challenge where you’ll test your skills in a Yext sandbox environment.

Curriculums

Curriculums are groups of tracks designed for learning multiple product areas or a set of topics.

Guides

Guides are designed for step-by-step learning to complete specific tasks. For example, you can take the Search track to learn about the entire Search product, or you can follow the Search quick start guide to narrow your focus.

Product Content

Under the Product tab, you’ll find product pages, containing a quick description of each product as well as links to the relevant training modules, help articles, and blogs.

You’ll also find release notes to stay up to date on what’s coming to Yext.

Docs

Under the Docs tab, you’ll find product-focused and technical documentation.

Reference

Reference docs are sources for product-focused information. You can use reference docs for topics such as all the available field types or analytics metrics in Yext.

API

See the API docs for any custom development work with the Yext API. The available API resources are the Management API , Content Delivery API , and Agreements API docs.
