I read about Directory Manager UI in the Release Notes, but can’t figure out where it is. Has anybody found this and used it?
The first thing to check is that the feature has been turned on in your account. Because we are still in the Early Access period of this release (until April 19th) you will need to navigate to Account Settings > Account Features and make sure that the Spring '23: Directory Manager UI (early access) feature is turned On.
Once you turn it on, when you click Pages in the navigation bar, you should see “Directory Manager” in the sub-nav under “All Sites” and “Domains”.
If you’re still not seeing this, let me know and we can take a closer look at your specific account to see what’s going on.
Ah, there it is. Ninja. Hiding in plain sight.
I’m not sure I’m seeing what I should, though. Clicking on the menu item brings up a reasonably friendly looking page devoid of any directories, and when I click on the “Create Directory” button it throws me into the Admin Console. From there I see I can begin to add directory-manager resources. But only by editing the JSON. Which, I believe is the old method. I do have the new capability enabled in Account Features, so not sure what’s going on here.
OK, I think I see it now. What I noted above is the expected behavior. Described here - The Yext Directory Manager | Hitchhikers
