Step 2: Edit and Publish Your Experience

(Optional) Make Any Changes to Your Search Experience

If you used a solution template to set up your account, the Search frontend and Search backend config in your account were created from a template. While the template is set up to give you a solid foundation, you may want to make changes (e.g., add/update fields, add/delete verticals, adjust features on the backend or frontend such as sorting).

Use the Build a Search Experience End-to-End guide for step-by-step guidance on what you can do. Skip to the relevant sections, such as Content if you want to change fields, Search backend, and Search frontend.

Note
If you’re an advanced user, you can also build a Search experience from scratch! Use the same guide end to end.

Publish Your Experience

The next step is to enable your experience in the Yext Platform so that you can embed it within your site. To do so, you will go ahead and publish your site to production.

Follow the Integrate and Launch step of the build Search guide. Here we want to use the client-hosted JS Snippet integration path. You’ll need the production URL when you add the search results page to your help site in the next step.
