Clustering and Next Best Actions
We have added a new Intent Insights screen which includes Clusters and Suggested Actions!
For clusters, Yext Chat groups similar queries together so you can see trends of what users are searching for. For example, if users are sending messages like “open jobs” and “are you hiring?”, Chat will group these together into a cluster like “Job Opportunities”. You can also see how these clusters are performing with metrics like total responses, total conversations, goal match rate, and data match rate.
We also provide “Suggested Actions”, depending on how a cluster is performing. These are AI-generated suggestions that appear in the form of a collapsible banner alongside the details for a selected cluster. Upon clicking the banner, you will see a suggestion such as “Add a goal about submitting job applications” which will walk you through the process of making that update.
How This Impacts You
Clustering helps you identify topics that users are more commonly looking for, which can help you further optimize your bot configuration and data stored in Yext Content. With the help of Suggested Actions, you can also cut down the time spent on troubleshooting and improving cluster performance.
Feature Availability
To turn this feature on in your account, navigate to Account Settings > Account Features and select Fall ‘23: Chat Message Clustering (early access).
