New Integration Screen

This release, we are introducing a new Integrations screen to the Analytics platform. This screen will contain the relevant code snippets for users who are looking to integrate Yext Analytics into their first-party experiences with a low-code or no code implementation.

As of this release, the screen contains relevant code snippets for integrating the new Analytics library using a script tag that can be installed in the <head> of your page. The code examples include both general and conversion events use cases.

How This Impacts You

Now that we have reimagined how we think about tracking conversions, the Conversion Tracking screens in the platform will be removed on December 13, 2023.

This change will not affect any conversion actions that have already been set up. Any previously live conversion actions will continue to work, and users who previously set up conversions using the Conversion Tracking tool will not lose any data. This data will continue to flow through into the relevant new metrics and dashboards.

If you want to make adjustments to existing conversion actions or record new conversion events, you can do so by fetching the new script tag from the Integrations screen or by using the new Yext Analytics Browser SDK tag template in Google Tag Manager, which provides a no-code, point-and-click configuration option.

Both of these methods use our new Analytics library and API under the hood, giving you the ability to associate conversions with any arbitrary event, collect and view data in real-time, and more.

Feature Availability

To turn this feature on in your account, navigate to Account Settings > Account Features and select Fall ‘23: Analytics Integration UI (early access).

Custom Dashboard Sharing

We’ve created a simpler and more scalable way for our reseller customers to share custom dashboards across all accounts in an account tree.

A parent account can now automatically share a custom dashboard across all child accounts by setting the shareWithSubAccounts property to true in the dashboards Config-as-Code (CaC) file via the Admin Console.

How This Impacts You

This will save you a lot of time, as you can now share dashboards with sub-accounts without the need for custom code, or manual and duplicative work.

These shared dashboards will also respect the level of access that is relevant to the sub-account. For example, if the parent account dashboard has an insight that is looking at Page Views across all entities in the account, if the sub-account is a single location account, the insight in the sub-account dashboard will automatically filter to display data for the single entity in their account.

International customers should keep in mind that since this feature is for custom dashboards, we will not automatically handle translations.

Feature Availability

  • This feature is only available for reseller customers, and is only available in the top level of a reseller account tree.
  • This feature was automatically added as a configuration resource to all accounts, so you can start taking advantage of it today.
