Responding to reviews using the API
In addition to in-platform functionality, Yext also provides the flexibility to respond in the platforms that you are already familiar with using an API. The functionality includes:
Respond to reviews
You can respond to reviews by posting a request to comment. For more information please visit Comment: Create in Yext’s API developer documentation.
If you have already responded to a review you have the tools to edit those responses via API. For more information please visit Comment: Update in Yext’s API developer documentation.
If there is a response that has already been posted and you want to delete it, you have the tools to delete those responses via API as well. For more information please visit Comment: Delete in Yext’s API developer documentation.
Responding to reviews on mobile devices using the Knowledge Assistant
Yext also provides functionality to respond on mobile devices using the Knowledge Assistant. Using SMS messages or Facebook Messenger, users can be notified of incoming reviews, and they can respond directly on their devices. This is great flexibility for users on the move who want to respond quickly like a store manager or users who don’t often log in to the Yext platform.
